The People's Book Of Records
Dominic Coleman introduces this entertainment show in which people undertake strange and absurd challenges in an attempt to make or break the world’s weirdest records.
Never mind being the fastest, tallest or most dedicated, the People’s Book of Records brings you records that anyone can try. Either think up a record of your own and submit it to the show, or try and break one already set, like these:
How close can you place a Jilly Cooper novel to a horse before the horse spots you?
How many times can you fart in a lift as it journey’s the height of a tower block?
For how long can you stare at a dog’s bum without blinking?
How far can you run while simultaneously shouting Lenny Henry’s ‘O-kay’ catchphrase in one breath?
How far away can you be heard singing Mike & The Mechanic’s The Living Years while standing in the middle of a field?
Filmed on locations around Britain, and incorporating a cutting edge music track, the People’s Book Of Records is a high-energy entertainment show that wants to make you a champion.
The show aired in March 2003 on Channel 4, and
an American version of the show was also made by Fx.
