Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe
Based not-entirely-vaguely on Charlie Brooker’s Guardian column and book, Screen Burn, Screenwipe is an irreverent, authored magazine show that takes a caustic look at television and occasionally shouts at it.
As well as topical reviews of the week’s high and lowlights from the acclaimed ‘Doctor Who’ to the late night hell of ‘The Mint’, Screenwipe also features reports on the confused inner workings of the TV industry while guest contributors demystify the haphazard nature of TV production. Animations and quick fire countdowns complete the fattest half hour in the history of TV.
The third series of Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe is returning to BBC4 in the autumn.
Nominated for an RTS Award in 2007
